Guest guest
I sent this to a friend and thought I'd share. Everyone's kid is different and we all know I am not a doc so this is just some stuff we found helpful. I do regular epsom salt but shared that paste idea from a friend with a more affected kid: Soap: Vegetable glycerin is supposed to be a natural chelator for mercury. Not sure if it does anything for lead. Whole foods has a glycerin/E soap that might be better first (my thought is besides ripping it out is helps sooth the system with the E). Also, because you have a gut kid, another trial once per week would be the collective wellbeing zinc/charcoal soap. Initially I think we saw these soaps pull the stuff out of that was never digested right and escaped his porous gut. I guess the charcoal takes it out and the zinc helps with skin immunity/preservation. Hard for me to say as I discovered the usefulness of this by accident just trying to get good soap. This is what I bought: http://www.goplanetearth.com/bases_melt_pour_soap.html I bought this after trying the combo ones on the market. Most have citric acid in them and that is not good. Will give you a yeast problem you did not have or worsen the one you do. Because this stuff is supposed to be a natural chelator you want the bars and not the liquid. You don't want them drinking it. Toothpaste: There are some interesting toothpaste options out there but each has a problem: Aluminum in them from packaging. The hippie stuff has citric acid stuff. I actually saw allergic reaction to that stuff. I now have $30 worth of toothpaste they can't use. Hubby will use it. So, you can make this hippie stuff: Tooth powder: 2 Tbsp dried lemon or orange rind 1/4 cup baking soda (aluminum free but I don't have to tell you that) 2 Tsp salt (use celtic if you can-has minerals and stuff-very good for teeth) If that is just too much you can try this: http://www.vitaminshoppe.com/store/en/browse/sku_detail.jsp?id=VS-5008 You will likely end up going granola as the mint in that is problematic. We are using it now though as the calcium bicarbonate will pull out the fluoride. Regardless of what you use, the over the finger toothbrush is the way to go. When you brush their teeth with a regular toothbrush you make little cuts and whatever you stirred up toxicity wise returns to their system...not good. You should see my kids teeth now. Amazing. Considering they rusted out during detox that is no small feat. Bath: Here is aallegedly gentler way to test the epsom salt bath from a friend of mine: Epsom salt-welll, some kids can't tolerate doing the whole bath so this lady made this recipe up so she could get the Magsulfate into her kid (put the stuff on his feet). Some people use it to calm their kids down if it is tolerated. Recipe: 1 cup epsom salts 2 tablespoons non-aluminum baking soda 1/2 cup boiling distilled water (I use my ro water) 2 tablesppons glycerin 1/4 cup almond, olive, or sunflower (I think go for the unrefined olive-high in omega 9's) 1/2 cup coconut butter (I think you would like this one) (unrefined, organic by Spectrum...it is available at Whole Foods or Vitaminne Shoppe The only thing about this is I would skip the olive oil. I tried olive oil soap on and got an extreme reaction on his skin. He can tolerate it now. Slow and steady with some of this granola stuff.
