Bacteria causes green stool. Ammonia can be from bacteria or parasites.

Green means that the intestine contents went through too fast,

because it all starts green, then turns brown. There are many

things that can cause what you say. Look at other clues, such as

die-off from new treatments, or being ill, or diet change, or

reactions to medications.

Every time we have this it is Bactria or parasites. Yasko says that too much

ammonia produced by an individual SNPs can also be reduced by giving yucca root.

We sometimes give this with high Protien meals but it is all very individual and

based on SNPs. We are totally Yasko, but my son does tend to produce lots of

ammonia and is a gut kiddo too...

Just re reading my post... We ARENT totally Yasko (typo)... But my kiddo does

tend to have lots of ammonia and frequent stool. Yucca helps, lowering Protien

helps, and I have heard alpha Leto helps too. May wantto do a CDSA if it

continues...

....possibly Giardia - cats and dogs get it too. The smell is like

rotten eggs and pooh is runny or mushy and often green, or light

coloured: because it's fat coming out. Metronidazole gets rid of it but

someone recently warned me of a child that regressed on that. Giardia is

basically parasites but the lowest form of life going - single cell

protozoa. I don't think standard wormers like Ovex touch this. Take a

look at this on Google anyway. It's something I'm suspicious of with my

daughter...the only other culprit I can think of is the yeast beast as

that manifests itself in lots of sneaky ways...

We have tested positive for Blastocystis Hominis and cryptosporidium, both

single cell protozoa within the last couple Months. Alinia works for this if

you are looking for rx and is less harsh than metronidazole. My child regressed

on metronidazole in the past and we ended up in the hospital with seizure like

episodes :(. Others have been successful with this but I believe Alinia is the

new preference.

Hi all, ds gets ammonia smelling poops sometimes. I hve found giving him yucca stops the smell within a day or so. He doesnt take pills so i buy it at the grocery store, slice it like french fries and fry in coconut oil. You can also bake it. My mom has started boiling and mashing it up to mix with her cats foid to stop the smell:)Sent from my iPad

it sounds like it could be trouble with digesting meat/fats.....my son was like that in the beginning....i had to cut way down on meat/oils for a while and he just ate lot of variety of veggie soups....I gave taurine to help with fat digestion and gentain to increase stomach acid then I slowly added back in meats....he was allergic to beef and pork...so I only gave him chicken and fish and beans...turns out he is type A blood and does better on the lighter meat ...this was before my son could even tolerate enzymes.....but once he could i added in the enzymes as well..

I would suggest if you havnt already get a delayed food allergy panel done to be sure you are not giving him food he is allergic too....also find out the blood type he is....

i got the book eat right for your blood type...so email me and i will give the foods best for his blood type....if you suscribe to that whole theory of blood typing:)
