Happy Thanksgiving! Has anyone found an organic commercial yogurt (to use as a

starter for my yogurt) that does not contain bifidus? Whole Foods carries at

least 6

organic plain yogurts but all contain bifidus. Thanks, as always, for your

help.

Hi Terri,

About a year ago, I bought an organic plain yogurt

without bifidus at Whole Foods, but I can't remember

the name (something like Organic Meadow maybe). I do

know that the Super Stop & Shop near me also carried

it at the time.

I just surfed the 'Net to see if I could find it.

Unfortunately, I didn't, but I did see this one that

has potential:

http://www.sevenstarsfarm.com/yogurt.htm

They're closed today, so we can't check the probiotic

strains in it, but it looks like it has potential.

Happy Thanksgiving,

Thanks so much for your response. I just went on the

Seven Stars

web site and they do add bifidus to their yogurt. I

will check out

a Stop and Shop and see what I can find there. Whole

Foods used to carry Eriven yogurt and that I think was

bifidus free but they

stopped carrying it.

Have a wonderful day.

Hi Terri,

The yogurt I use is Fage. I found it at our local healthfood store

(Fresh and Natural) and I also saw it at Trader Joes. It has only L

Bulgaricus and S. Thermophilus. Their website is www.fageusa.com if

you want to check it out.

Sharon,

Thank you so much for the information. I'll go to my

local Trader

Joes later today and if not there, I'll call a few of

the health food

stores in the area.

All the best,

Terri
