Guest guest
I am a researching potential patient. I have read several of the postings and notice that most people only talk about liquid diets. Is anyone on solid food yet, and how long did it take to get there? Thanks Rik
Guest guest
Hey Rik, Welcome to our group, Yes, I am eating some solids now, it's been almost 6 wks.. I can eat several things, but I must eat small bites, and wait for a few seconds to feel how my new tummy reacts to what I just swallowed... Its all a process, and an adjustment! Guest guest
The doc recommends you maintain a liquid diet for a month after the surgery and then graduate to soft foods and then include what you can tolerate. I did not stay on liquids for a month. I managed for about ten days and then started soft foods. It's still an experiment as to what will work and what won't, but that's half the fun! (My MGB was on 11/09/00). good luck sperb >>> Rik2161@... 12/13/00 05:21PM >>> I am a researching potential patient.
