Guest guest
I split the dose for my 4 1/2 year old son - 1/2 tsp in the morning, 1/2 at dinner. Seems to be working well. Tracey -------------- Original message -------------- From: " asd.mom3 " <alawson@...> My 3 yr old dd just recently started taking SNT. I started out at 1/4 of the dose as recommended. First two days, extreme hyper during first part of day and then extremely tired during second half of the day. After the first two days, hyperness subsided and improvements are tremendous ecspecially speech. Does anyone know if it should be given twice a day like normal multi's or just once. I'm going to give 1/2 tsp tommorow and am just curious how other's administer this vitamin. Thanks in advance.
Guest guest
Hi You would definitely want to split the total daily dose out into 2-3 doses per day. So if you are going to increase to 1/2 teaspoon, give 1/4 in am then 1/4 in early afternoon or evening. Also, since it has high B's it has a tendency to increast yeast so just be aware of that possibility. Great that it is helping him! Sheresa > > My 3 yr old dd just recently started taking SNT. Guest guest
I do have some thought as to he might possibly have a yeast issue since most ASD kids do. I haven't started a yeast protocol or any other because we are just starting out. Does anyone have any suggestions for yeast protocol? I hear GSE is good to start but how much ect. > > > > My 3 yr old dd just recently started taking SNT. I started out at 1/4 > > of the dose as recommended. Guest guest
I agree with Sheresa as when you dispense your dose throughout the day, it is going to stay in the body and be better absorbed. Journal what you are seeing as many children do not tolerate the P5P in the SNT... For GSE, this is not something that you want to use preventatively... too much of this can cause bacteria issues. So you this in the short term. 1-2 drops in a drink should be fine. (Nutribiotics GSE is what we have on hand here.) See how the bowels & behaviors are the next day. If you have not navigated through Dana's website... take the time to do it. Here is a link to yeast from her website: http://www.danasview.net/yeast.htm Jackie--- >I do have some thought as to he might possibly have a yeast issue > since most ASD kids do. Guest guest
My daughter could never go past 1/2 tsp of Super Nu Thera she would wake up and script for a couple of hours any time I would try. I stopped using it and switched to P5P with mag (sleep wasn't affected by the P5P but she did seem fidgetty during the day) and added in Bvitamin cream. That helped it. My daughter just can't handle B vitamins yet, I don't know if they " fed yeast " or if it was phenol intolerance or what. But, SNT didn't work for us. I am planning on trying Brainchild's ultrasensitive next. > > My 3 yr old dd just recently started taking SNT. I started out at 1/4 > of the dose as recommended. Guest guest
Hi , U can slowly increase the doser and observe. If she gets hypr try giving it with no fenol as suggested by Dana. Giving b vitamins with nofenol,or phenol assist helps my son to tolerate them better. Guest guest
Jen, Where do you get your B vitamin cream? I tried mixing my own-it's a sloppy mess but we're using it! > > > > My 3 yr old dd just recently started taking SNT. I started out at > 1/4 > > of the dose as recommended. Generally 3-4 times per day. At least 2. Don't give it after about 4pm, or it can cause sleep problems. Dana

Guest guest
At the Kirkman site you can order samples of the Super Nu Thera. I would recommend this to see how your child responds. I am happy I did because my son was super hyper on it! He was stimming out of control and just plain crazy! --------- [ ] Super Nu Thera What type do you mean? Guest guest
my daughter had an allergic reaction years ago to the liquid super nu thera but did well with the hypoallergenic powder. Her allergic reaction to the liquid was " burnt butt " syndrome where her butt had two red patches on it. Guest guest
Sorry Liz, just saw this email. It was an allergic reaction that happened right away. " Burnt Butt " syndrome has to do with allergies to some ingredient in what she digested. It did not happen with the hypoallergenic version of super nu thera.
