Guest guest
Hi everyone! I'm new to the group. A friend of mine has a son that was diagnosed with Apraxia of Speech when he was in preschool. He is now in first grade and receiving Speech and Language services. However, he is having difficultly with fine motor skills and I suspect there may even be a problem with gross motor skills. He is due for a MET with his IEP next month. Should we request additional testing other than just Speech. If so, what type of tests should we have done by the school? Is there a need for a psychological and educational testing? Does the school do any type of PT or OT testing? Thanks to anyone who can give me some help on this issue.
