Guest guest
My youngest son is 4 years 7 mos old. We are working on the " h " sound. We have him make the " h " sound first by sort making a huff and then saying a word like " hay " . Often he whispers it. Yesterday his ST tried having him make " I " sounds as that often helps in production of the " h " sound. You know saying a short " i " as in " chip " has a kind of " h " at the end or at least the breathiness of it. Well it didn't work for my son. My son has apraxia, dysarthria, and hypotonia in his tongue as well so he still speaks mainly in vowel sounds after 2 years of ST. What have you done? All suggestions appreciated!
