first let me start off by saying, although i've had an ultrasound every time

i've been to the dr so far, I did NOT get one today! LMAO...therefore, no

chance of seeing if it is a boy or a girl...my luck! LOL...my level 2 US and

complete check is scheduled for October 6th (david will be here, yeah!!!!) i

did have a dream last night that it is a boy tho, and sunday morning ben woke up

saying he had a dream that it's a boy too.

so today's appt was pretty routine and quick, nothing special. talked to him

about all the concerns and had lots of q's for him. apparently not only did I

have a kidney infection, i also had a bladder infection (the bladder infection

was the main one). so just keep taking my antibiotic and drinking as much as i

can. i was given the phenergan to help me sleep at night and not be sick in the

morning, so we'll see how that works. most my concerns aren't concerns for him.

the fact that i'm having every syptom of pregnancy this time just is mostly

cause of having gotten pregnant so soon after gastric bypass and the fact that

i'm getting old (as he stated).

everything is good, i do have ketones and protein in my urine, but that is just

because of the gastric bypass, he's not worried. i have now dropped to 218 lbs

(40 lbs since being pregnant and 124 total since surgery), not a concern since

i've had the gastric bypass (he does expect this baby to be on the smaller side

or smaller then it woulda been had i not had surgery or waited a year post-op) .

baby's heartrate was 150, same as it was on friday at the hospital. my blood

pressure was 103/70. he said just stay on limited activity and bedrest.

i have my 6 month check up for my gastric bypass tomorrow at 930am, up in topeka

(3 hours away), so ben and i are going today and going to spend the night in a

hotel with a pool (i'm not good at driving long distances-get sleepy just

driving across town), so i figured we'd just spend the afternoon swimming. well

gotta get packed and straighten up and put trash out and head on the

road...sorry for not being able to say if it's a boy or girl! LOL...it's just

my luck i tell ya! but everything is good, so i can't compalin! next appt.

October 6th at 9am. have a great day, thanks for listening to my update.

Bummer that you didn't get to have your ultrasound

today!! Its probably just as well, I'm sure

would like to be able to be with you when you find

out!

I'm not so sure that all your pregnancy symptoms are

from not being very far post op. I am 22 months post

op and I too have had every symptom in the book too

this time! Nice of your Dr. to tell you your getting

old. Did you smack him?? Your pregnant, you could

have gotten away with it...Just plead hormones!

I hope you get over your bladder and kidney infections

too. How did you know you were getting them? I have

notices that my urine is darker and stronger, even

though I drink a lot of water...

Hope you and Ben have a fun getaway, and enjoy the

pool.

hey meredith, i called the dr on friday due to heart palpatations and not able

to keep anything down for a couple days, the tests are waht showed i had

them...also i had pain in back right below my ribs (kidney's). the signs of the

infection for bladder are constant peeing (hard to tell since being preggo and

all) and burning while urinating. kidney infection signs are pain in the

kidney's, fever, and blood in urine. i'm glad we weren't able to have the US,

it saved me from having to not find out with david gone...so we get to be

together now, he was deployed while i was preggo with my nearly 5 year old son

also, so he didn't get to see what it was that time either. i'm feeling much

better, and now i'm on teh phenergan at night, tonights the first time since 5

1/2 years ago i've taken it, so we'll see how it does...hoping i get some sleep

tonight, i've been up staring at hte clock since 4am and then finally got out of

bed at 7am...grrrr.
