Guest guest
The labs where my kids were checked for carmitine came back with acceptable levels despite very little meat in diet. They now have less and it concerns me. I am worried about bone development and am curious if Carnaware is indicated for this. The little I have read on it here (I did not think it applied to us) it sounds like it helps with stregnth...muscle or bone strength ot both? My kids, from the beginning, have had crackly bones. Daughter came up severely D- deficient and that was addressed with CLO. We await new labs and that still won't tell us if it went to her bones. Son has the same crackly bones though worse so I have to check all avenues. There is a gluten thing with them and a milk thing. Still, this long on the diet you would think the bone weakness would have been counteracted by diet by now if that were the sole source of malabsorption. Anyone have any thoughts? Guest guest
my son came up on the low side of normal in Carnatine. I am going to start supplimenting him with either Carnawareor Levocarnatine. Want to run it by my mainstreamer doc & DAN!, my nutritionist suggested I suppliment with Carnatine. Any suggestions appreciated. Colleen [ ] Carnaware question The labs where my kids were checked for carmitine came back with acceptable levels despite very little meat in diet. Guest guest
If you had labs done showing low side of carnitine, then prescription levocarnitine (Carnitor or the generic equivalent), is what you should be discussing with your doc. Carnaware DOES NOT CONTAIN carnitine and will do nothing to address your child's lower carnitine levels.
