Dear Migrant Health Research colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the availability of financial support for

community-based individuals from Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, and

Montana to attend Community-Campus Partnerships for Health's 9th Conference,

" Walking the Talk: Achieving the Promise of Authentic Partnerships " taking

place May 31-June 3, 2006 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Funding is being provided

through a generous grant from the Otto Bremer Foundation to defray the costs of

conference registration and/or lodging. The conference features two

pre-conference institutes on community-based participatory research (CBPR)

and many CBPR sessions throughout.

Applications must be received by mail or fax no later than Monday,

April 17, 2006 at 5 pm PST. To apply, please review the application

guidelines, priorities and restrictions (see below) and complete the

attached application. This information will soon be available online at

http://depts.washington.edu/ccph/conf-overview.html.

Application Guidelines, Priorities & Restrictions:

* Only community-based individuals who are residents of Minnesota,

Wisconsin, North Dakota or Montana are eligible to apply.

Community-based refers to individuals who are not employed by a

higher educational institution.

* Applications that arrive late or are sent only by e-mail will not

be considered.

* In reviewing applications, priority will be given to confirmed

conference presenters and members of CCPH.

* Attention will also be paid to ensuring diversity in terms of

gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity and work setting.

* Information contained in applications will only be shared in

summary form (without identifying information) in a report to the

funding agency and the conference proceedings.

* Applicants will be notified of a decision on their applications by

Tuesday April 25. Those approved for funding will receive

instructions for how to register for the conference and/or make

hotel reservations. Those not approved for funding will be able

to register for the conference at the early-bird registration rate

through April 30.

* Applications must be received by mail or fax no later than Monday
