Guest guest Posted June 26, 2008 Report Share Posted June 26, 2008 i have been in the special olympics for over 30 years and what fun it is ,no body makes fun of you,you get to make friends from all over the world,i live in california and i went to iowa in 06 for national games this past year the usa went to china for special olympics,next year is the winter world games in the usa in idaho i am the top snowboarder for california and nevada,when talking to the offices of special olympics just let them know that the child has a developmental disorder asperger's it an autism spectrum disorder and you can join special olympics i love the airplane and bus rids we take all over the world.we raise money all year around to send us to these games i just got back from summer games,plus there is soccer to. the one thing i like about special olympics is nobody judges you you are all the same from downs,cp,developmental,autism,and other disorders we are all people doing what we love to do have fun,are special olympic oath is " let me win,but if i cannot win,let me be brave in the attempt " . --- rushen janice <jrushen@...> wrote: > Thanks for the information...I never knew that! > did a little baseball again this year with a > group ...the director came over to my husband and I > and said...
