What I have learned so far and where I learned it

1) Diet matters. Changing diet in my kids gave me god and solid info. to

bring to the doctors and address a previously unknown GI problem that

was causing neuro and autoimmune things at most, aggravating them at the

least.

2) Fat in diet. Not enough does not allow the bad stuff, be it food,

toxins or excess vitamins to come out. Good fats, like fish oil, goes a

long way.

3) Addressing gut issues matters regardless of the label: gut issues are

key to so much and left unaddressed they can cause brain, kidney, and

liver problems an/or aggravate them.

4) Yeast is a real issue. While some may debate that it is an issue.

Finding out if it is your issue and finding a safe way to deal with it

are important things.

5) If any of the above were ignored in me and my kids we would have

suffered unnecessarily. I have for far too long and I started to see

that path for my kids and was determined to fix it. I have not come

close to fixing it all but their behavior, poop, and pee tell me we are

headed in the right direction.

6) Decisions made out of fear are typically not the best ones. Decisions

made using your best instincts are great ones. Do not let anyone

regardless of credentials tell you different. Still, listen to those

folks as they may say something that will give you a better knowledge

base for your instincts to be sharpened.

7) Ignoring physical ailments because a paralyzing label has been

attached to your child is a huge mistake. The label may be wrong. If the

label is right, like, say, autism, do you really want to add arthritis

or other painful things to the mix? Makes no sense to me. DAN doctors

treat MS, Parkinsons, etc. all gut-related neuro conditions. Seems to me

getting to an autistic kid early prevents so much. Excluding treatments

because they have labels other than apraxia and comforting yourself that

your child does not have autism may cause you to miss good treatment for

your child. That is foolish in my opinion..
