Guest guest
, I have not seen this before. It does look very similiar to the NACD approach but I don't see mention of academic assistance or behavioural assistance. The phase, " frequency, intensity and duration " that I see on the website is one coined by Glen Doman so I can see that they are indeed following the Doman neurodevelopmental approach. Looks interesting.... I'm glad to see that others are beginning to value the neurodevelopmental approach.... for us, it has been the only thing that has really worked. Cost? (doesn't look non-profit so I wonder if it is really expensive) Janice [sPAM][ ] Has anyone heard of this organization - Janice? http://activehealing.org/HTML/home.htm
Guest guest
We took our son to see Sarge at active healing about two years ago. It is very much a NACD based/type of program. It is about ten minutes from our home. The focus after our evaluation was patterning based work and b/c our son was son weak and could not follow directions - we would have needed three people to do the patterning. We didn't have access to three people on a consistent basis. We had to drop the program. I see the founder from time to time and he wants to evaluate our son again (gratis) and I may consider it now that everyone is a little more capable (myself included) and our daughter is now three and a little more independant. Anyone who has looked into NACD knows how intensive it is and we just weren't there. I can tell you more about this particular organization and the people if you are interested further...feel free to email me privately. > > , > > I have not seen this before.
