Guest guest
Hey Liz - We also started LP two weeks ago. 30 minutes (approx.) at achool and 30 (approx) at home. The first week - very weepy child. It could have also been a virus that he was finally kicking. This week we only did it at home about two times - but we are hearing some increased or better articulation (or attempts at articulation). Weepy is gone. I don't know about sinuses or drawing or writing. We have been seeing some better sleeping as well. On the down side - a little stimmy this week... Will keep you posted. > > I wanted to let you all know what is going on with a Listening > program experiment in my house. Guest guest
Is anyone helping you. I do think it matters to do it a consistent timeframe per day. If you can't do it at home then just let them do it at school but make sure whatever he gets is the same amount daily. I think it will provide more consistent improvement plus you really do not want sporadic brain reorganization. I think all that you saw was good. The sleeping better is likely due to better sinus stuff. We, unfortunately do not get better sleeping out of it but that is becaue when he pees the yeast wakes him. I am really excited . Go Carson! > > > > I wanted to let you all know what is going on with a Listening > > program experiment in my house. Guest guest
I could never listen to any type of therapy cd. It gives me a headache (in than 5 min). Anyway, some of the therapists say you can use a stereo with speakers that detach and put them over the child's bed when they are asleep 30 morning/30 at night. This is done with babies..I did it with my son at 3 when he wouldn't keep headphones on..then at 4 he did Digital auditory aerobics (DAA)at his speech/ot clinic. I think it was beneficial. > > I wanted to let you all know what is going on with a Listening > program experiment in my house. Guest guest
: Re: weepy. When I do it my ears hurt and nasal passages loosen up. In a small child weepiness accompanying that feeling sens reasonable. says it hurts her ears. Thhe precise reason we do it slow for her. She will do 15 minutes per day. will go up to 30 next week which is where I am starting. > > > > > Hey Liz - We also started LP two weeks ago. 30 minutes (approx.) at > > achool and 30 (approx) at home.
