Guest guest
Hi Quick info as I need to somehow go get dinner and take my older son back to the hospital to see Asher. Thank God my husband came to the hospital this afternoon after work and is spending time with Ash so I could come home and repack. Asher's flu bug or whatever (he was vaccinated!) or reaction to the enema or who the #$## knows what ended us up in the ER yesterday due to dehydration, vomiting, diarrhea and severe coughing. He was admitted and is on oxygen (through his nose), his formula, IV's, steriods, albuterol, etc. I'm hoping we might be home tomorrow but I think that's a long shot as he still has diarrhea and doesn't keep his 02 sats up to where the docs feel happy. My question is: when do doctors end up sending you home on 02? What level of 02 SATS do you think is concerning? B/c of mito, the docs like to keep Asher's sats really high (95-100) when he's sick (his mitochondria need all the help they can get. He does fair (stays between 93-97) when awake but when he goes to sleep they dip down to, at the lowest, 89. I have not encountered O2 issues yet (didn't think we'd be doing this now either) so I need to learn more.... Sorry to be out of touch. I will check the computer tomorrow either when we come home or when I take a break tomorrow. Anne
