Guest guest
I'm off to get my blood work order from our pediatrican today. I am armed, somewhat informed and ready. I'm also ready to walk away from his practice if he insults/refuses (he's new to me b/c our ped just 'retired' to be a mommy). I have seen 'interesting' changes in my son since the start of the E - super duper increased tone esp. with fine motor, a word here and there (he is non-verbal), eating two new foods (very defensive), ability to figure out ways to communicate more complex ideas, lower tolerance for being uncomfortable (he has a VERY high pain threshold), and YES more emotional (he was always easy and good, etc.- now he's more typical). All of this even during a transition to the new school year, allergies and a cold - whoa! It has made me re-evaluate the role of nutrients, etc. in his issues (PDD/NOS apraxia dwarfism). Just a big thank you to all who post questions, post answers and work tirelessly to trying to figure this out and then take the time to share with the rest of us who are trying to do the same thing. I'll keep you posted on our blood results.
