Guest guest
Hi all, Another question for you experts. Asher had a gastrographin (read barium only less constipating!) enema today to make sure all the anatomy of his insides were 'as expected' so that the surgeon could make a decision about whether the cecostomy tube will be a laproscopic procedure or one where they have to open him up. Wild experience in that Asher's anatomy was normal but he had no peristalsis when he was filled with the fluid, couldn't get the fluid out given that he can't have a bm, had to have the tube stuck back up and have it all drained out again.... poor kid. Anyhow, we did see some peristalsis contractions when they had the tube up him to drain him out? Is this possible and then to still have poor motility? Aagh this is driving me nuts. I'm assuming the contractions could be too weak or not in synchrony or something which would make sense why he is not able to have a bm. Any ideas are welcome.
