I am very concerned though when you say that your son is only wearing the DBB/FAB for 3 hours a day. Maybe this was typed wrong. In any case, at his age (moving in on a year and a half) he should be in the shoes for at the very least 12 hours a day. This can be done easily while he is sleeping. Rarely, in certain circumstances, parents are told to have their children wear the FAB for only 10 hours a day, but 3 hours is a very serious deviation from the Ponseti protocol. The relapse rate is very high--around 80%--when the shoes aren't worn. Where are you located and who is treating your son? Are you looking for another opinion? I do hope we can help you.
