Guest guest
Barbara, I am glad you are ok. I had my orientation today at Richmond there was lots of information but all was good I need to loose 29lbs. I am starting today already making changes. Hope you feel better. Karla > > Hey all! > > Thank you for all of your thoughts, prayers and wishes. After an " unremarkable " surgery, I left the hospital in about 25 hours. I am experiencing very little pain and a lot less nausea than I was yesterday. The nurses all remarked that I was getting around very well. By my 3rd walk I was up to 5 times around the nurses stations - my accompanying nurse pooped out after only 3 - lol. > > I got home today about 11 and relaxed for a little before taking my carafate and then went for a little walk. I was probably about the equivelent of 2 blocks. I was going to try for one more, but could already feel the tired setting in while crossing the street, so I quickly turned around and came home. I don't want to get so far away that I'm not able to walk back! > > I am so thrilled to be on the other side (although I left the hospital 8.3 lbs. heavier!!!) and I have to say if not for the help and support of all of you, I would not have made it. Thanks to for the phone call and to Gordy and for the visits. I am feeling so much better than yesterday when I spoke/Visited with you all. (I was having the gassy dry heaves - oh terrible). Those subsided about midnite last night and other than some nausea - I am almost 100%! > > Barbara >

Guest guest
Welcome home Barbara....Glad to hear that you did well with the surgery and during your stay at the hospital. I couldn't get the nurses to walk with me either so I talked them into letting me do it by myself. I have to say though I was totally impressed with the staff. Don't forget to Sip, Sip, Sip, take those pills and walks !! Welcome to the other side... Your surgery twin (almost) Gordy > > Hey all! > > Thank you for all of your thoughts, prayers and wishes.
