I'm not totally sure of cost, as prices can vary from 100-2,000 dollars depending on which type he is to get. Do you have insurance? Our daughter's were covered 100% through our primary insurance, without having to even pre approve them. All we had was the prescription from her orthopedic doctor, wich stated they were needed due to low muscle tone in her ankles because of mito.

If you don't already know, please make sure to wait to get him new shoes until you get his SMO's. It is really impossible to judge how much bigger they will need to be.

I hope he likes them. They have really helped Gracie, and she actually likes to wear them. I think if we let her, she would wear them to bed.

AFOs (up to knees) cost more.
