Guest guest
Kathy, The surgery works. I, too, worried about the same issues. I worried that I would outeat the surgery. It just isn't going to happen. I am about 4-1/2 months out, and trust me, it just isn't going to happen! Yes, you absolutely need to do your part. But the surgery is a tool - a major tool - and it does make it easier to do your part, in my opinion. The surgery restricts intake, so when those occasional muchies come along you aren't going to do the kind of damage that might have occurred in the past. My only recommendations are that you commit ahead of time to taking vitamins daily, and to focusing on proteins. I am not a big meat eater, so I spent the time from my consult until surgery trying to mostly protein, just to be sure I could/would do it. I can tell you that this surgery is saving my life. Already, I am healthier and happier. I am more mobile. The future seems limitless. Can't ask for better than that. Dawna
