Guest guest
Well I'm sure you all read about our Angel Flights Fiasco last week. Well when they cancelled us last week to fly out on Thursday to see Dr. Ponseti on the 9th, she said they could repost our info and try again for this week. I was a skeptic because they had our info. for over a month and weren't able to help us and cancelled our flight, but I said if you think its possible go for it. So I called Dr. P's office and they said that if I can get there they would find a way to see us, etc. They were really understanding and nice when I called to cancel our appoinment and explain we couldn't get there. Well today I got a call from Angel Flights & a pilot saying they have covered our ride home from Iowa to NJ, they are still working on trying to get us there. I spoke to the pilot and he said he can do the whole way Iowa to NJ as long as we can stay an extra day. I said of course!!! If they get us arrangements to get there it would be on Thursday, then our appoinment would be on Friday, but now instead of flying back on Saturday we would go home on Sunday instead. Cross your fingers, and please pray for us that it works this time. I don't want to get my hopes up like last week and see them crash, nor will I even mention it to Collin till we are driving to the airport this time after what I dealt with last week. I really hope it works out this time. I just have to hope that the Mc House will have room this time around, since we will be staying over 3 nights now instead of 2! Also it is so so so nice and we our really thankful to this pilot for doing the whole way, last time if you remember they were doing 3 pilots each way. Guest guest
Congrats! Here's hoping and praying that everything works out for you for the BEST... On a side note, I have applied for Federal Tax Exemption for the foundation. As soon as I have the 501c3 I am going to start soliciting large corporations for donations so we have the money readily available for situations exactly like this. GREAT NEWS! Guest guest
whoohoo ! And whoohoo for too! Nice to see good news today! I do think we need to put more into 's foundation here though and getting NP status will really help boost it. But we need to help too, by promoting it and urging others to donate (like corporations locally, local docs, etc.). Kori At 11:42 AM 9/12/2005, you wrote: >Congrats! Guest guest
Have there every been any walks or other fundraisers done to benefit clubfoot? I see all of these things in the news here, and I was curious why I never seem to see anything for clubfoot. It just seems like a little bit of money goes a long way when it comes to treating clubfoot, especially compared to other types of problems kids can have. I've been thinking a lot about trying to organize something, but I don't even know where to start. I figured I'd check with my husband's company since they are non-profit and may have an idea. If I can get motivated and get something done, I can see about organizing it to benefit the foundation. We'll see! > Congrats! Guest guest
, I work at Assisted Living Community and we have in the past raised alot of money for a place called the Maquoketa Area Foundation. This Foundation raised money to help non-for profit org. I can look into getting a application or talk to them to see if they would donate money. Also the place I work has done some stuff, not alot, to raise money for different things like police dogs, ect. Let me know if you would like help from our small community. Would love to help everyone that can not get to Iowa. Tabitha wrote: Congrats! Here's hoping and praying that everything works out for you for the BEST...
