Is this something that men can take as well?

Also, what if any contraindications are there? Does it slow weight loss,

does it affect bowel movements anything out of the ordinary?

I found an interesting little article on flatulence and flagyl,

Flagyl is a pretty potent antibiotic, and I would just point out two

things from my own experience. First, as I recall, you can have NO

alcohol whatsoever when taking this medicine. Secondly, although the

drug can be used to treat yeast infections, I found that it caused

them in me. (Almost every antibiotic does that to me). So while one

end may be cured, ya know the other is gonna suffer! Laughing.

Third, I had to take it with food or I got seriously sick to my

stomach.

The one question I would have for my doctor is, what are the

implications of long term antibiotic usage and its impact on creating

possible drug resistant situations in my future health care.

Wow, Theresa, thanks so much for sending those links! I did ask the

druggist if Flagyl was an antibiotic and he said no it was anti-

bacterial and this is also what the link you sent

shouldn't create a resistance to antibiotics in your body. No

alcohol is not a problem for me, and I already know about it making

you horribly nauseated if taken without food (been there, done

that!). But this stuff has been a miracle for me, just like the lady

in the first link you sent. It has transformed me from a walking gas

machine into a normal person from the very first pill I took. My

tummy is just as quiet and happy as can be now, no rumbling, no

diahrea, NO GAS!! I am amazed. Life is good. Yippee!! (can you

tell I am happy, lol?)
