Hey, Jill --- congrats to you! That's great that you've lost so much weight

at 3 months out! My hair started falling out at about 4 months post-op.

It isn't so extreme that my hair looks much different, but whenever I brush

it, etc. quite a bit comes out. I don't have balding spots or anything but I

was taking zinc quite religiously the first three months. Not saying it will

happen automatically with you -- but Dr. G said it was par for the course

with rapid weight loss and, if it does happen, should taper off at about 9

months post-op.

I took zinc and it didnt do any good......tried the Nioxin shampoo and conditioner too (its pricey) and didnt notice any difference. I think it all relates to protein intake plus the fact that you had major surgery, but its going to happen regardless of what you try to do to prevent it, although some have it mild and some have it heavy. Just have to wait and see......

My hairdresser said the same thing...everyone will be different but nothing can

be bought that will work. Its all in your body make up and how healthy you are.

Just one of the side effects you have to deal with!
