We just wanted to give an update on Avery... as most of you know, she has a left

club foot and has been going through casting and corrective shoes to correct

it...it is fully corrected at this point but she did have to have minor surgery

this morning on her Achilles tendon on her left foot...that is just part of the

corrective procedure and she did great... we were a little concerned on having

to have her go under with anesthetic but all in all she did great.. she was a

little cranky when coming out of it but she came home right away and has done

very well all day... so now she is back in a cast for 3 weeks and then the day

before their birthday she will get that cast off and go to get her new

" shoes " .... she will then have to wear them for 23 hours a day for 3 months then

after that she will slowly reduce that over a period of time and hopefully when

she begins to walk she will wear them 12 hours at night time only....the shoes

will be on at night time for about 3 years if all goes

well... it is a long process but obviously well worth it...she is a little

behind with physical development but is doing well.... I think it is a

combination of things... being born 2 months early and also having the cast and

shoes on early on kept her from being able to build any upper body strength (she

went throught this procedure back in the fall but her foot did relapse so we had

to start all over with the treatment)... the girls turn a year on the 24th and

Delaney is crawling and pulling up and wants to walk as to where Avery is still

trying to crawl... she sures gets around though... she rolls everywhere and is

now spinning around on the hardwood floor...they are so fun to watch them

together now... when they both are going for the same toy Delaney takes off

crawling and Avery takes off rolling and then they battle it out...she can

pretty much keep up with Delaney so that is good.....they say not to compare

babies but boy is it hard when they are both right there in front of

you... they are each so special in their own ways... they both really have

personality... just like their big sister (is that a good or bad sign... ???)

This is sure alot of info but we just wanted to give an update and let any of

you that knew she was having surgery know that all went well... thank you for

all of your prayers...

Have a great summer....
