Guest guest
My baby sleeps on his side as well! This has been going on for the past couple of weeks. (Although, when he was just in his cast, his side was his preference when he slept.) He's been in the FAB since the end of March. At first I teared up when I saw him that way, thinking, " How can he possibly be comfortable? My poor baby! " But, since that's how he likes to sleep, then I will not bother him. He actually kind of rests the foot that is up in the air on the bumper pad that he is facing. He has never slept on his tummy because he also just buries his face in the mattress or floor whenever he is on his tummy. It's nuts that we were all tummy-sleepers yet many of our babies don't know what to do with themselves while on their tummies. kannhoudek wrote: You will be very surprised at some of the strange way these babies sleep! My son rolls on his side and sleeps with his one leg up in the air all the time. Either that or he'll lift them up when he's on his back and sleep with his feet up by his head. I have no idea how he's comfortable like that, but whatever works! And we don't have any pillows or anything in his crib at all. > > > > > My son is really having a hard time sleeping at night with > his > > > shoes > > > > > on. Guest guest
I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the great advice! We tried the side and stomach sleeping but when I would lay him down after nursing him he would just wake up and scream and never fall back asleep. I think I will just wait for another 2 months until he is bigger and stronger and try it again. We finally just put the carseat in his crib and put him to sleep in there. He has slept from about 8 until 2:30-3:30 the last few nights, so we are both getting some much needed sleep. When he wakes up in the middle of the night I just throw him into bed with me for the rest of the night and he is even sleeping better there too. Thanks for the great suggestions, beleive me, I tried ALL of them.
