Morning Everyone.....

Hope you are all having a fantastic Sunday. I have a question about

Cholesterol meds. Is it common for the doctor to take you off that

medication after surgery ? I think I've read that some folks have been

told to stop by their surgeons. Just being Curious here !!

Regards,

Gordy

Gordy I know 2 people who had WLS and were able to come off the cholesterol medicine, because once they started losing their cholesterol got in check. It's different for everyone, I was told I would be able to come off the reflux medicine, but not yet at 7 months post op. I have come off many medicines and inhalers(for asthma), off the cpap machine. So every one is different there's a very very good chance you might. Thanx Donna....

When I lost the eighty pounds over the last year my cholesterol went

way down and my PFP was considering cuttimg my dose in half but when

I started regaining that plan went out the window, Thats why I was

wondering what to expect post op.

Hope your having a great day !!

Gordy, Hi....Congratulations on your decision to have the surgery......I wasn't sure I wanted to, but I am soooo glad I did. I had it on 9/28/05. About the medicines.....my surgeon refers me back to my family doctor, the one you put me on the meds, to decide when I can come off of them. I have already come off my cholesterol medication and my CPAP machine. Good luck to you. PattyGordy wrote: Morning Everyone.....Hope you are all having a fantastic Sunday.
