I am the one that can handle and deal with anything but.... when my Mom got sick I was the one who wanted to stick my head in the sand. It is never easy to watch your parents get old. I've been on the phone talking to her nursing home and the hospital. They do think she's not dieing and will go back to the home but I just can't get myself to go see her. Maybe tomorrow...I realize she doesn't know the difference if we're their or not but I'm going to feel horrible if I don't see her before she dies. I sobbed like a baby this afternoon but still can't get myself to go. It's kind of funny because my kids say I'm such a " hard ass " but not this time. Well, if I could hear it ring like he can then I would answer the darn thing. He can hear it ring, but won't answer it, just yells at me to get it. Half the time I can't even hear him yell. Hummm, maybe that part is selective hearing loss. Mostly, the hearing loss is in my left ear, from the RP. The right one is getting bad too. You are letting the RP do damage to your ears if you are not taking the pred. or another med that calms the RP down. Please take care. Darn Dr.'s sometimes!
