Guest guest
what do you do with the Epsom salts??? can you give more details? Thanks so much, bigcheech91 <bigcheech91@...> wrote: My niece has had very weird smelling urine during the last few weeks, and her DAN doctor is thrilled. He said that her frequent epsom salts baths are naturally chelating her, and the smell is the metals coming out in the urine. I've heard about this smell happening when people do chelation therapy, but this is the first time I've heard about it happening naturally (with assistance from the epsom salts). The reason that he is thrilled is that it means all the immune system work they've done has paid off. Her body wouldn't respond this way if the immune system was still out of whack. The other news is that now he wants my sister to consider chelation therapy for my niece, which is practically the only DAN treatment left to do. I just wanted to post this because of the recent interest in epsom salts baths. Please note that my niece has one EVERY DAY, which is pretty frequent. in NJ __________________________________________________

Guest guest
Magnesium is VERY important for removing toxins including heavy metals from the body. Epsom salt baths allows the magnesium to be absorbed through the skin and the magnesium then assists in removing the toxins. I think kirkman sells a lotion with the magnesium in there already. > > My niece has had very weird smelling urine during the last few weeks, > and her DAN doctor is thrilled. Guest guest
Interesting. I first used epsom salt when I started dietary change. 1/4 cup of a gelatinous substance came out of me. It was frightening. It was like a laxative for my little guy and he was in there for two seconds flat and drank none of the bath water. My daughter does not do as well unless I shampoo her head with it. Yesterday she became a new kid. Wierd. I never do it long because of my firs experience. I had to " sleep it off. Guest guest
Wow - love these stories and posts. I've had my 3 yo on epsom salts for a couple of months now. He did have an increase in stinky urine; I wasn't sure why. But, more amazingly and the reason we kept using the epsom salts, is that he has solid poops the following day. He normally has diarrhea (chronic). We use 1 cup dissolved in hot water, then add cold water to make a shallow tepid bath. When he lays down the water comes up about half way over his body. He stays in 20 minutes at a time, or longer if he will. __________________________________________________
Guest guest
I would definitely change the water after the first child is finished bathing. ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com
Guest guest
The most common way is to mix 1-2 cups of epsom salts (aka magnesium sulfate) into bath water, then soak for at least 20 minutes. I've read that hot water is better. What I do is dissolve them in hot bath water, then put the kids in when it's not too hot. They have different levels of temperature tolerance, so I put the ones who like warm baths in first. This is obviously not precise (notice I didn't mention how much water is in the tub, or how many kids), but it seems to work. Kirkman sells a magnesium sulfate cream that you can apply three times per day in lieu of the baths. The benefits: calming and detoxifying. People who have special dietary needs find that this can reduced the negative reaction to " infractions " . That's one of the detox effects. in NJ > > what do you do with the Epsom salts??? > can you give more details? > Thanks so much,
Guest guest
Is there a concern about putting the second kid in the first kids detox water (I know I find problems everywhere...character flaw...but I hope I am wrong here)? Also, what ever came of the discussion on this board of espsom salts and lead in the tub paint? > > > > what do you do with the Epsom salts??? > > can you give more details? > > Thanks so much, >
