Guest guest
Hello all- We've talked so much about all these tests and such-- but I'm just a beginner when it comes to the whole biomed and the supplements etc I saw that there is a DAN Dr that is somewhat nearby, and I will try to arrange a visit with them-- but BEFORE I do this, I want to be sure that I go through my normal Pediatrician to get *ALL* of the possible blood tests that we may need for the DAN Dr. I have to go through the insurance for this-- or the cost will be too prohibitive-- so I wanted to prepare enough time to be able to do this since I know it takes a while sometimes for the results and to get into the DAN Dr Soooo-- this is what I need to know from everyone-- I need the FULL list of the blood test and profile names of what tests I want them to run. Also-- I know that someone mentioned that one of the tests needed 13 vials??? Is that true? I'm not sure how my 3 1/2 yr old will EVER tolerate blood being taken, but 13 vials on top of it?? Help-- any thoughts or suggestions on this one???? I know that people posts links to the archives-- but to give fair warning-- my archives have NEVER worked, so that's useless for me, unfortunately, because I know there's TONS of information lurking in those precious archives <sigh> Thanks in advance-- Becky **************Start the year off right. Guest guest
Dr. Bock's book - Healing the New Childhood Epidemics: Autism, ADHD, Asthma and Allergies is a great book. It lists 3 tiers of testing to be done. I carry this book around all of the time - even to my DAN! visits. > > Hello all- > > > We've talked so much about all these tests and such-- but I'm just a > beginner when it comes to the whole biomed and the supplements etc > I saw that there is a DAN Dr that is somewhat nearby, and I will try to > arrange a visit with them-- but BEFORE I do this, I want to be sure that I go > through my normal Pediatrician to get *ALL* of the possible blood tests that we > may need for the DAN Dr. > I have to go through the insurance for this-- or the cost will be too > prohibitive-- so I wanted to prepare enough time to be able to do this since I know > it takes a while sometimes for the results and to get into the DAN Dr > > Soooo-- this is what I need to know from everyone-- > > I need the FULL list of the blood test and profile names of what tests I > want them to run. > Also-- I know that someone mentioned that one of the tests needed 13 > vials??? Guest guest
Jack just had his DAN! appt this week and WOW! am I pumped up over the first visit. Colleen and everyone elso who supports this board, you provide me with an outstanding backround of information and I greatly appreciate it! I was confident and had the effective questions to move Jack in the right direction! With the scope of what a DAN! visit consists, the recommendation of the book " Healing the New Childhood Epidemics: Autism, ADHD, Asthma, and Allergies: The Groundbreaking Program for the 4-A Disorders " was perfect! I highly recommend everyone to read this book with any of these disorders REGARDLESS of the scope of the problem! If you plan on seeing a DAN! doctor, like Colleen said, bring this book with you! 1/3 of American children have a 4-A disorder. As Bock comments: " The new epidemics can be defeated. They are epidemics of metobolic dysfunction and toxicity, and they can be overcome by rebalancing the metabolism, and reversing that toxicity.
