I was on MTX before Imuran. I took it by tablet for

about seven months before it began to bother me. My

doctor switched me to Imuran because the MTX was

making me sick to my stomach 24/7. I don't know that

Imuran has been any more beneficial, but at least it

has not made me sick at all. It has not allowed me to

cut as much prednisone as my doctor would like, so

last week I also started on Enbrel.

I had no nausea before MTX and not until I had been

on it for seven months. I was on Folic Acid. Started

with one, and then went to two tablets. It helped my

mouth sores, but not the nausea.

I tried the injections of MTX also. For me, there was

no difference in the amount of nausea. That was when

my doctor said no more. BTW I had been on 20 mg. of

oral MTX.

Hope this helps. Sharon
