Methotrexate injections-- did you take it by mouth before and then switch to injections? If so, do you find that you get better results from the injections?

Thank you so much,

Kathi

Hi:

I was taken off of Folic Acid by Dr. Trentham. I found that the injections did help a lot with reducing stomach problems. I am on Methotrexate 15 mg per week. I guess I may have reached a level of tolerance to the side effects because I am taking orally

again and it no longer bothers me.

Good Luck

Chuck, are you taking anything for your stomach?? You have probably told

before, and I just don't remember... If not, please be sure to get

something... It is so important to protect your stomach from the pred and

other drugs... Do I sound like Heidi now? LOL

Gosh I hope you get some relief soon... Know we're thinking about you.... I

know you hate sleeping all the time, but in the beginning I think your body

had to adjust and is just telling you that you need to rest... Hopefully,

it will get better soon.

Hi Chuck:

I was on Methotrexate injectable for year and recently went back to pills. For some reason I think that I have built up a tolerance for the side effects, which bothered me much more the first several months I was on it. I had a lot of problems with Reflux especially at night but mine was reduced when I was able to lower the prednisone. I switched from regular prednisone to Medrol which is prednisone that cost more. I don't have the problem with the Reflux anymore.
