Guest guest
" Apparently the Diabetes is responsible for the weight loss. Most people on Prednisone gain a lot of weight. But Prednisone also raises surgar levels. " Jim Haig (sorry I gotit wrong in the first place--but hey, I live in the Bay Area, home of the infamous Haight Street!), I developed diabetes from using prednisone (I also have a family history). Haven't lost any weight yet. My PCP told me that you can't help but gain weight with Prednisone and diabetes. I was for a time taking insulin, but now I'm taking precose but my sugars after meals are still high so I will probably have to start using glucophage (sp?) to help control it. Taking prednisone sucks. I'm going to wait till I stabilize better with the MTX before I start to decrease my pred dosage, so hopefully all this diabetes craziness will be a moot point. ===== When choosing the lesser of two evils, I always like the one I haven't tried. -- Mae West __________________________________________________ Terrorist Attacks on U.S. - How can you help? Guest guest
, You had it right the first time. My name is Haight. My E-mail is haigjim. I have visited the Haight-Ashbury a few times. But my most memorable visit was in June 1968. I was just discharged from the Army, and wanted to see the Haight before I went home to Pa. At that time it was a very strange place, and being in an army uniform made me feel a bit out of place. But, Frisco also made me uneasy. The weight loss was back when my sugar was way out of control. I am now up to 175lbs., I still don't gain any more.Hey!!! How about that! Another weird thing my body does, but this one is a good thing.
