Guest guest
Very helpful. I keep meaning to read that book. I follow Dr. Furhman a lot and I know he is a fan but he is a bit heavy handed with the soy. > > > > > > Ughhh. Guest guest
again, care in shopping, " Choosy moms choose_____ " . make sure its freshwater, natural not from a fish farm....check the color. should be bright. I would never serve tuna or other bottom swimmers, and esp nothing out of a can. Sadly we can never be 100% sure of any of it. I prefer to shake it up a little, food/supplements. That way the body doesnt just accomodate to the same old routine and become non-responsive to the input. > > > > > > > > Ughhh. Guest guest
Thanks for the tip. I kind of have that idea...can't hit a moving target. Some stuff though for us is clearly out. > > > > > > > > > > Ughhh. From this post string and from a local mom today I'm > > > > > learning that I probably shouldn't be feeding him corn. Guest guest
Re: eating fish...Dr. Jepson's group says " NO " to all fish and seafood. Period. Their take on it is that there is no non- contaminated fish/seafood. I decided to err on the side of caution. What I may do is splurge once in a while during chelation. So we're relying on supps and will start our Pharmax tomorrow. Guest guest
I was actually amazed at the mercury load from seafood. We did a challenge this spring and got high mercury levels. This fall we tested the blood and again the mercury levels were high. So we cut out the seafood for a week and then did another challenge. The mercury level had dropped substantially and was just slightly elevated rather than deep into the red. It is a bit frightening..... Guest guest
All reactions were organic stuff. This is the deal. > > Most non-organic corn is GMO. Guest guest
I try to buy wild salmon, since they are usually swimming in cleaner waters. The Whole Foods fish guy was giving me the big sell job on their farmed fish (cheaper too), which are fed an all-vegetarian diet (which means no mercury-laden fish food). That still leaves two doubts in my head (vegetarian feed is not the God-designed diet of salmon, AND I don't know about the quality of the water they swim in), but the real consideration is ultimately, what is your alternative? If it's red meat stuffed with antibiotics and hormones, that fish will probably be healthier for you. If it's a bowl of organic spinach, skip the fish. You get the idea... in NJ > > > > > > > > Ughhh. From this post string and from a local mom today I'm > > > > learning that I probably shouldn't be feeding him corn.
