Guest guest
They would cause constipation if they were derived from dairy. Casein causes constipation for my daughter. You might try switching to Pro-Bio from Enzymedica. They're Vegan. -- Rima Regas Mom to Leah, age 7 (AS, DSI and APD) http://www.sensoryintegrationhelp.com On 9/23/05, danasview <danasview@...> wrote: > > > > Can too much probiotics and yeast fighters cause constipation? > > > > > Sometimes, especially probiotics. Guest guest
Hi: Does anyone know if probiotics can cause constipation? My son used to have 1-2 BM's daily, and now he won't have any for 3 days at a time, then I'll finally get him to drink some prune juice and or give him a dose of a prescription laxative we have, and he will then have 4 or 5 BM's in one day. I am not sure it is from the recently added probiotic. The only other things we have changed is giving him 1 ProEPA each day, in addition to the 2 ProEFA he has been taking for months. Any thoughts? Guest guest
Not my kids but me. When I take the probiotic (it helps some skin issues I have) I do not move my bowels daily for about a week or so. AFter about a week, I get back into my normal routine. I always wondered why that was. > > Hi: > Does anyone know if probiotics can cause constipation? Guest guest
I am not a doctor but I think it is possible. Here is my thought: Probiotics heal the gut. As the gut heals everything that is in there or going in there is less likely to leak out. As that happens things can get backed up. > > Hi: > Does anyone know if probiotics can cause constipation?
