Guest guest
My daughter has the connection... she's just refusing to make a BM until she gets her overnight diaper on. Testing me just a bit. I haven't figured out what to do about this yet..... tomorrow is another day! Guest guest
My youngeest did the same thing...and would go hide to " do his business " . I finally decided one that day that enough was enough. I waited until I saw him go to hide, and dashed over, carried him into the bathroom, and camped out until he went on the toilet. We were in there over 1 1/2 hours. Yes, I do have other kids. I just kept telling them that their brother was learning how to use the potty, and that we were going to be in the bathroom for a while. Yes, my house looked like a tornado had gone thru it after all that time. He cried and fussed, but in the end, he HAD to go - couldn't hold it any longer. I yippeed, and woo-hooed, and clapped and danced and gave a favorite treat, all the while praising him!!! Day 2 - still had to carry him into the bathroom, but only had to stay in for about 10 minutes. Yippee, ect. Day 3 - had to carry in to bathroom, but immediate poop. Yippee!! Day 4 - frantic looking face. Me, " do you need to poop? " son- " yes " and in the bathroom we went and he went immediately. Day 5 - independant poop!! So, I think if I hadn't waited it out on that 1st day - I would still be changing poopy diapers!! Stephanee > > > Is anyone having potty issues especially BM? Guest guest
My daughter did this. Later we found unexpected gut issues. She is not even my apraxic kid. > > > Is anyone having potty issues especially BM? We can not seem to get > > the connection of him telling us before he has a BM. Guest guest
My daughter did this and we later found a GI issue. She was constipated. We are still investigating but it is likely not the usuals (gluten, casein) as she is off those. Looks like metal. Regardless, what helped before we knew there was an issue was leaving her to go on the potty on the floor. With feet dangling on the big potty is harder, particularly if constipated (which we never knew until GI appt as she went every day). I think when they hide to do it they are finding a spot and a way to make it come out easier. > > > > > Is anyone having potty issues especially BM?
