Guest guest
for what it's worth-- we pay $100 for an hour session with our private SLP, and we're in the NYC/ NJ Metro area where it's quite expensive to live. not sure if that helps you or not I think you're very safe to offer anywhere between $75-100 per hour session Becky **************Ideas to please picky eaters. Guest guest
I am in NJ but our ST is in Pa. She charges $95/ 45 minutes. If that helps. Also, when entering into a job offer negotiation the last time I read that whoever says the # first loses. After reading that when the employer said, " How much do you want per hour? " I countered with " What do you think would be fair? " The # he said was exactly what I had in mind. Perhaps you could try that. It sounds like this person is excellent for your child and fairminded so I am sure they will give you a fair rate if willing to do this. Best Wishes! > > My DS's SLP is going on maternity leave. Guest guest
I would first ask her if she could or would she want to see your son privately. In many states there are insurances etc. that need to be considered by the therapist. Plus having a baby could certainly affect her ability to do therapy. If she tells you that she would like to do that then you could ask her the basics - where, when, how frequently, length of session and cost. All the best, McCann > > My DS's SLP is going on maternity leave.
