Hi :

1500iu is said by to be the upper limit for Vitamin E. Here

is the link to the link section. Many archived messages from

in the Vitamin E folder.

/links

Folder = Vitamin E

Capsules are more stable than the liquid. Some people have had

trouble with the liquid becoming rancid.

Is this what is in your bottle?

Each teaspoon provides:

DHA: 625 mg

EPA: 410 mg

Other Omega-3s: 225 mg

Vitamin A: 650–1500 IU

Vitamin D: 1–20 IU

Vitamin E (d-alpha tocopherol): 30 IU

Most on this list use the formula 2 ProEFA + 1 ProEPA. Your son if

this is the correct information is taking more DHA than EPA. The

ProEPA has more EPA vs. DHA. The ProEFA/omega 3,6,9 is much lower

than the above. Has he been on the above for very long? My son

needed the higher doses of omegas for speech. At 3 years old I added

a second dose (3caps.) and that brought him to 6 capsules(4 ProEFA +

2 ProEPA) and within 6 months he was age appropriate for expressive

speech. This was huge because at 3 he had about 50+

approximations/words. He started talking in 2-3 word sentences after

6 months of upping his dose. Some have given 3 capsules at

breakfast, lunch and dinner. As trial and error I would give the

formula a shot and see if you get some good speech out of it. You

should probably talk with your doctor about the difference in Omega 6

though. If you supplement with ProEFA, there is only GLA: 66 mg per

2 capsules. Does your son need the Vitamin A and D??

This link has lots of good info about foods that have Omegas in them.

It might also be helpful to get it in his diet through some of the

suggestions.

Yeah that he is a Vitamin E responder!! My son is on a low dose and

it helps with articulation. He didn't have fine/gross motor delays

so for him it is working great for articulation and helped him from

being so tired in the afternoon! He no longer needs a nap :(

Hope the info is helpful,

Tina
