Guest guest
, I think you will find that most people use therapeutic doses. My son is 2.5 we give him 2 - caps of NN 3/6/9 and 1 TSP of Arctic Cod Liver Oil - by NN. It works nicely. Colleen Mother of Charlie 2.5 years [ ] New here..have some questions about EFA's Hi. I'm new. My daughter is approx 2.5 and has been diagnoised with apraxia by her SLP. She is having another evalutation by a specialist on Monday. I have started reading the Late Talker book and have some questions on the supplements. The book recommends the proEFA by Nordic Naturals. Because of her age, I was wondering if anyone has tried the Omega 3-6-9 junior in either softgels or liquid or if they are the same specs as the ProEFAS...here are the specs for each: soft gels: Ingredients: purified deep sea fish oil (from anchovies and sardines), soft gel capsule (gelatin, water, glycerin, natural lemon oil), borage oil, natural lemon oil, d-alpha tocopherol, rosemary extract Each 2 soft gel serving provides: EPA: 135 mg DHA: 90 mg Other Omega-3s: 58 mg GLA: 33 mg OA: 80 mg Vitamin E (d-alpha tocopherol): 15 IU Liquid:Ingredients: purified deep sea fish oil (from anchovies and sardines), borage oil, natural lemon oil, d-alpha tocopherol, rosemary extract Each 1/2 teaspoon provides: EPA: 338 mg DHA: 225 mg Other Omega-3s: 143 mg GLA: 83 mg OA: 200 mg Vitamin E (d-alpha tocopherol): 15 IU The liquid seems to be higher in everything and was wondering if I went that route, should I give her 1/4 tea instead of the recommended 1/2 tea. Thanks for your help.

Guest guest
I use a safety pin and pick a hole in the cap. Then use a syrenge and dump the liquid in it. Shoot it in his mouth and it works well for us. You could also draw up some juice with it, so they wont taste it. They just think it is a shot of juice. Guest guest
I agree that you are looking for the right therapeutic dose for your child. It's different for different kids. You want to find the dose that provides the most positive reaction without negative side effects. At VERY high doses (6 adult EFA and 3 adult EPA capsules per day), my son got hyper and would repeat himself two or three times in one breathe before we could respond to what he was saying. Right now, he takes 2 EFA and 2 EPA per day to maintain his current, excellent speech. My baby, 19 months old, is showing signs of apraxia, and we are giving him 2 tsps. of the liquid Omega 3-6-9. He hasn't had the same language spurt that did, but it could be the age, too. ( was already 2-3/4 when we started the fish oils.) in NJ > > , > > I think you will find that most people use therapeutic doses.
