Guest guest
Hey There, I got my braces on on the 7th of December and have been told that my surgery will be somewhere between 6 months to a year down the road. I have an overbite and an open bite, I snore like crazy and for a woman this is not the most attractive attribute one can have *grin* I am really hopeful that the surgery will not only correct my bite but will help me to STOP snoring. I have a question...I have a tooth that is moving when I bite down on it. IS THIS NORMAL???? Thanks for all the information that you all are sharing on this site, it is wonderful to know what to expect. I have checked out some of your pictures and I have to say WOW. I can only hope that my before and after pics will look like some of the ones that I have seen. Take care Tanja

Guest guest
Wow....I got my braces on the 7th of December too!! And i also have an open/over bite and will be getting surgery in 6-7 months(this summer). I snore a little sometimes but my main problem is breathing. I am a major mouth breather and its horrible! I cant wait to breathe through my nose for once with ease. I also have a super gummy smile and " long face syndrome " . Im 18 too...will be 19 right around my surgery. Sry i cant help much but i just thought it was neat that we got our braces the same day! Ohh...and about the biting down on the tooth thing...I think its normal, mine feel kinda loose too sometimes. I think its just the quick shifting of the teeth. > > Hey There, > I got my braces on on the 7th of December and have been told that my > surgery will be somewhere between 6 months to a year down the road. > I have an overbite and an open bite, I snore like crazy and for a > woman this is not the most attractive attribute one can have *grin* > I am really hopeful that the surgery will not only correct my bite > but will help me to STOP snoring. > I have a question...I have a tooth that is moving when I bite down on > it. Guest guest
Hi There Yes it is neat that we got our braces on the same day..maybe we will have our surgery on the same day also? Thanks for replying, I appreciate anything that I can learn. I don't breathe through my mouth normally, cept when I am sleeping, but that is cause I always have my tongue against my front teeth so that makes me breathe through my nose. I think this is probably why my overbite is as bad as it is...constant pressure from my tongue. I hope that after this is all over that I can learn to breathe normally without my tongue pressing against my front teeth. I am worried that I will go through all of this and my tongue will push my teeth out of whack again. I guess I will just have to wait and see.... Nice to meet you by the way......
