Guest guest
Hi- My name is , and my husband MAtt and I have a 2 1/2 yr old and a 15 month old. Our 2 yr old, whom we all affectionately know as " Cubby " , not much of a talker. He started out well, and at about 13 months of age he went from having a 30 to 40 word vocabulary, which he used well and often, to only using a few words now and again with great prompting on our part. He tries so very hard to form words for us, and we can see him get so frustrated. Neither Matt nor myself know what to do. The 15 month old has a few words- Mommom, Dada, Jo, goodgirl, (the last two are talking to our dog,) etc. My questions are: A) Where do I learn more about what to look for, if this is apraxia in either of them? What do I point out (again) to our pediatrician, whom we see this coming Tuesday? C) Just how much of a vocabulary should a 29 month old and a 15 month old have? Many thanks in advance. I look forward to learning as we go here! , Matt, Wee Liam, and the Man Of The Hour, Cubby
