Hello, Tom. I bought the Maximum Strength Gold Bond Medicated Anti-Itch

cream with aloe and vitamin E which comes in a 1.25 oz tube. The packaging

is yellow and red. I bought this size just to try, but I know Mike uses the

large green bottle with the red top. I haven't noticed any improvement in

the redness yet, but I am hopeful I will soon. I hope this helps.

Hi -

As I understand it, the Gold Bond products that everyone has been trying are

the lotions (usually the regular or extra strength). I don't know if the

anti-itch cream has the same active ingredients as the lotions, so your

results may not be the same. I did just look at the gold bond site, & I see

that there is no hydrocortisone (yikes!) in the anti-itch cream, so I'll

refrain from begging you to not use it! :^) (for those that don't know -

hydrocortisone can cause rosacea, although it often seems to help it

initially before all hell breaks loose).

For the record, I have tried the Extra strength Gold Bond lotion, and it

does help w/ redness, & it hasn't caused a problem (is, break outs). I have

not been diligent w/ using it consistently, though, as my r. seems to be

under control for the time being. The yucky thing about the lotion is the

smell/fumes from the menthol, with bother my eyes until it evaporates.

I think it is really good the way we all work together to find solutions to

our problems. The Gold Bond does sting and make my eyes water for a minute

or so, I just try to ignore it. I would not be using it if it contained

hydrocortisone. After about how long did your redness start to go away.

Does " HTH " stand for " hope this helps " or " Help - this hurts! " ?

This gets confusing. My Derm told me to get

hydrocortisone and dab it on my eyelid.

It seemed infected.

Kathy, that is to get rid of the infection. Your doctor probably told you

not to use it for more than 2 weeks.
