Guest guest
Hi, I am an S/LP who is new to the group & is very interested in connecting online with parents of children who have apraxia since I would love to hear about what therapies have worked for your children etc. Yesterday I noticed the post about sour spray for drooling & would love to find out more about that since I have many children on my caseload with low muscle tone & drooling problems. Has the use of sour spray helped at all? I would really like to hear more about it b/c I would be happy to incorporate it into my sessions & suggest that the parents do it as well if it will be helpful. Also, I would recommend going on Talktools.com to purchase Sara Rosenfeld-'s drooling remediation program which involves using a horn hierarchy, a straw hierarchy, keeping a tongue depressor of varying weights between the lips, (a kind of weight-lift for the lips) etc. You may want to consult with an SLP who is familiar with the program. Good luck, Batya Novogroder
