What a few of us were talking about

Mr. Bush had suggested along with Tom Ridge of the newly created

Homeland Security Department that we p[ut plastic over our windows

and seal said window with Duct (as in heating ducts) Tape in order to

secure us from inhaling toxins, etc. in case of chemical or bioterrorist

attack. This would probably kill us as totally sealed houses build up

radon gas which can be lethal, and there is no outlat for any carbon

monoxide, should there be any, nor gas (as in for cooking) should there

be any. A little hard if you are living in a warm climate, and inneffective

and all of the above hazards if you are living in a cold climate, and not

likely to work in a very wet climate. The suggestion has been withdrawn

by the Homeland Security Department. The country no longer has en

ough gas masks to use as was done during WWII. Besides, the CDC

had announced a nation-wide vaccination program which we have to

date not heard a word about anyway. The whole thing may well fall in

to the category of stupid suggestions by uninformed politicians, no mat

ter what their party, affiliation, common sense in their private lives.

As peace rallies occur all ove the planet this week, I put my hope there,

having and adult child of my own in the us army!
