Guest guest
Hi Kimber & others, Thanks so much for you good wishes and the mention of the test. I will definitely ask her doc about it. They now are saying maybe an ulcer or gastritis(SP?), but I not really buying into this DX. I have had ulcers many times before and never had pain into my back with them, but I guess everyone is different. And I think the Gastritis is just a catch all for when they don't know what wrong with you and you having abdominal pain. kind of like they old days when they didn't know what was wrong you, they just blamed everything on nerves. I still suspect Gall Bladder, because all I when through with mine. Over 5 years of attacks and everything was always normal when they tested me. Unfortunately, she like me and doesn't test normal either. When they finally found out it was my Gall Bladder, they had to put a tube down my throat to my Gall Bladder and drain my bile, but it would not drain until the put medicine into to make it work, since it was basically non-functioning and was filled with crystals and not stones. They said it was like it was filled with sand. She does have an appointment with a new GI doc Monday and I'm going to go with her to this doc. They want to schedule her for a scope to see what is going on. I was wondering, if maybe they should consider an ERCP to see if there if possibly a stenosis of one of her ducts. I did have problems with this and SOD, before they did my whipple.I know when I had this kind of problem that I did have the same kind of pain. I hope that I just being a mom that is just over reacting and it really doesn't have anything to due with her pancreas. I really wouldn't wish that kind of problems on my worse enemy, and they get to the bottom of things soon. She has moved back home, which I'm very pleased about, so I can keep an watchful eye on her. She was staying with some friends for the past month and it wasn't the best thing for her, I felt, so I glad she back home. I hope everyone is Ok.
