Guest guest
I have chronic pancreatitis related to pancreatic ductal tortuosity after an ERCP with stent placement (of which failed). I have looked in countless medical arenas and can not find any information on ductal tortuosity. Has any body seen any information on this condition? Guest guest
Hello cdrrn, It is difficult to locate much information about ductal tortuosity alone. Tortuosity means winding and twisted. I have seen it used in reference to ducts in advanced disease that have become occluded from excessive calcification. The closest thing that is found is information on occluded pancreatic ducts, as that is what occurs when the pancreatic duct is tortuous, twisted, or bent. I am sure our friend Mark will inundate us soon with information he finds. Karyn E. , RN Exec. Director, PAI Indianapolis, IN The PAI serves as a means of support, information, and advocacy.
