Guest guest
Anita, In the beginning I was taking Hydrocodone. Then I was prescribed Percocet or Dilaudid. I tried both but preferred the Percocet for more regular use. These are all only short acting pain medications, though. Once the pain became more continuous, I started wearing the duragesic patch, with Percocet for breakthrough pain. I've been very pleased with the patch and have been using it continuously for seven months now. Fortunately, I have not any any reaction from the adhesive like many do. Some people are not able to use the patches because they cause too much itching and irritation. A friend suggested that it always be applied to a skin area that has previously been exposed to outside air and sun, skin that had been " weathered " , so to speak. So I can wear it wherever I have, at some time, had a tan. You might ask your doctor how he feels about this. With hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H.
