Guest guest
Well I got more bad news today. Sometime it doesn't pay to get out of bed. Well, this time it's my sister, who lives in Florida. She called and said that she has to have surgery to have her ovaries removed and she not sure what else. It seems with her yearly check up the found out the her ovaries were enlarged, so they did an ultrasound and blood test. Well the ultrasound shows cysts or tumors on her ovaries and the blood test is very inconclusive on weather or not it Cancer. So she will have surgery to remove her ovaries and what ever else need to come out. They will not know until they do the surgery. She has to also see a Oncologist surgeon before the surgery, which should be scheduled by mid November. I'm so worried about her. Tomorrow is her birthday, what a present to get!!!!!!!!! I guess all the bad news really started last Sunday when they admitted my daughter to the hospital. They on Monday, my Mom talked to my brother and found out that my sister-in law is much worse with her battle with Lung Cancer that had gone to her Spine. I guess that last weekend, she couldn't even get out of bed to walk, that she having that much pain with her legs. I guess they were going to try something else with her this week, cortisone to she if that would help her legs. I certainly hope so. She is in so much pain that the pain meds she is on, isn't even touching the pain. I know that she not going to make it and it's just a matter of time. She is so young too, I believe she just 55. I feel so bad for her and wish there was something I could do to help. Well, the surgeon that my daughter had in the hospital, was killed yesterday afternoon in a head on accident. He was only 53, ( my age- that hits home). It's such a loss as her was a very good surgeon. When we told her, she thought we were kidding her. She said that she was glad that she didn't need surgery, as she would of been without a doctor. You never think of one of your doctors being so young as being here today and gone tomorrow. I guess it's a reality check that we are all human. Well for my daughter, her medicine is finally starting to work. They put her on Aciphex and it's finally kicking in and she is starting to feel a little better. Thank heavens!!!! She does go to a GI doc Monday afternoon and think they will schedule her scope then. If all of this isn't bad enough, my other daughter is having stomach problems. this past week too. It's really odd, she said that it hurts when she eats and when she doesn't eat, she feels like she trying to caught a bug of some sort, but it have really kick in all the way. She said that a few other people at her work are having the same type of problems So hopefully it just a bug and nothing more. She was going to get some OTC previcid today to see it helps. I sure hope so. So my stress level, has just reached a new all time high today. Is it any wonder that my side is hurting. Well, I certainly hope this finds you and your family in better shape than mine is right now. Sometimes just getting things off you chest helps. Thanks for listening, dear friends.
