Guest guest
Jeff, You really should go to the doctor's when you are having an attack. I know it seems like a pain, and you can be afraid that they won't treat you, but the more documented attacks you have in your medical record, the more likely you are to get decent treatment later on. I know, the only thing that has gotten the doctors to believe when I have attacks for the past two years has been because I have a huge history of acute attacks (over 20), and the doctors have been more likely to says I have acute pancreatitis based on that then on my amylase and lipase levels, which have been normal or below normal the last two times.
