Guest guest
OH, JULIE, that is so wonderful & adorable about the letters. YES ! YES! I sure did & with 5 I tell you I had so much stuff...Plus my kids, like yours did all those things & were so active & artistic doing " stuff " all the time. Some I actually have on my walls today in frames. My refri used to be hard to find. All thought it was a bulletin board for drawings, etc!! They will love it. I promise you!! I started separating pictures also after they each had their first child.....I put 5 big boxes, duly marked with each ones name------ in my loft ..started each day (almost) & sorted pictures--put ones that each one dominated in pic in their box..... albums of each one in their own box on top of hundreds of loose pictures, then the albums, then the school art work , papers , booklets ( they used to write stories & make them into booklets (with the title & their names as authors, etc )... All certificates they received for ...everything... their boy scout-both were Eagle Scouts, so they collected much., Order of the Arrow, Girl scouts,Cheerleading,Gymnastics, honor Society , Jr.Achivement, any church group. & Lord only knows.....I saved it as you are doing. It was wonderful......... ANYWAY. I also started one album for their college....then their weddings, -then their first child........BUT I stopped & gave them each a very large box with big ribbon on top for each one with a sign . " THIS IS YOUR LIFE ....THEIR NAME " I LOVE YOU & I LOVE EVERY MINUTE OF HAVING YOU .........enjoy FOR A VERY LONG TIME ..... then I told them they had to continue it with theirs doing the same thing. . & they have. Reading you do this too, just brought me to tears ...BUT such happy tears. they will truly love it.......... Mine tell others all the time about theirs & now all the grandkids (remember there are 10) talk about it , like , Hey mom, save that for my box:):). We have to have a group family picture each year ( just a snapshot type) & get 15 copies made for all for their box....... oops, sorry this got long) Bless you ...I just knew you would do something like that!!!:):):) Love ya!!! Guest guest
Glad you had such fun with them . their taste in restaurants & " theater " is great.:) . Hope all get feeling better after clinic & soon..But what a joy to be with them. Do have fun this weekend with your " big girl " celebration. Again, Happy Birthday !! LOVE & HUGS, GRDMBEV night coughing Eilish has been coughing all night. She went to bed as usual. She slept in my bed ( no the kids in bed issue hasn't been resolved LoL). About 12am she coughed and coughed, in the end I ended up doing a physio session on her and it seemed to settle her down till about 3am when she started again, so I did some more. Then about 5-6am she started again. I was much to tired to do more physio. So when the alarm went of at 7am, I felt like crying, I'd just got to sleep. did another session on her about 7am, then my mum did it after school around 4pm and did another tonight about 8.30pm. So that poor child has had 6 physio's in 24 hours. Is this a world record LoL. Of course the 3 in the night she was asleep for. But come to think of it I didn't hear her cough as much this evening as last night. Hopefully it will start to clear before Monday when she has clinic again. Guest guest
YES, That is a great idea. your right. Here in USA , maybe there too, You can go to the HALLMARK(cards, etc) stores & they have a rack that have a miniature front page of newspaper like sheet with all the special news of that date on, they cost about 8-10 $$ each .I did those too. Not as great as having actual papers though,--- super idea.! .Maybe others are doing some things like that too. I wonder?????????? Guest guest
Bev, I forgot to mention that on the day each were born, had a job to do. He had to get the newspaper from the day they were born, the No. 1 Cd from that day, a picture of the Prime Minister, a Scarf from the football team at No.1 and we made them a time capsule. That is also in their archive box. Sometimes I'll take things out and remember how small they were. Love Re: Rosemary Were they REAL snakes???????????????? I always get others weather , etc mixed up. around the world. isn't that weird........BUT, YES, autumn & spring are my favorites. BBQ sounds lovely. We always enjoy them family & friends --whatever ....They seem to be so much more relaxing & the food is always GREAT.........Glad you had that time . I am keeping BRIAN also in my thoughts as he travels .......... It is really odd that Eilish feels worse(cough) after being in hospital ......didn't you tell them she was suppose to be BETTER after :):) I think that happens to many.......Also hope when reading this return post , you have had a good nights rest now. Bless you & all yours as well LOVE & HUGS, grandmomBEV sHANNON , I am glad you are all fine. It is a scary thing. I was hit by a bus two years ago next month. I also drive a 8 seater and not one piece of that car was salvageable. Even my seat was broken in to, and amazingly I walked out of it. I still get tense if a bus or truck comes up behind me. Guest guest
Bev, It was one of those transport buses, huge thing. I do still have a bad shoulder but nothing else. We are in Autumn at the moment and the weather is beautiful. Today we had a bbq with my sister. Eilish has to most awful cough. She went into hsp. 100% well and came home sick and she wasn't even there 24hours and she was in a single room. In herself she is fine, her throat is great and her ears seem okay, just this cough. I am hoping it will go away otherwise her and I will be in the hsp. whilst is in Thailand. I am off to watch some tele. now and have a early night. sHANNON , I am glad you are all fine. Guest guest
Bev, rang last night. Which made Eilish cry ALL evening. If I hear " I want my Daddy " one more time I will scream. So I gave both of them one of his passport photo's. I told her that if she kisses it goodnight and Daddy kisses her photo goodnight(he took photo's) then they will be doing the same thing. He's been there 1 day and already bought the kids gifts. Well better go make sure Eilish is getting her uniform on. (Australia) update left for Thailand early yesterday. As yet I haven't heard from him. The kids got up at 6am so I could get everything ready for school this morning. usually does the physio, so I am hating that. Yesterday I spent the day ironing school uniforms so there was enough for the whole week. We were so organised today that I have even had time to come on-line before school. Next week may be a different story. On Friday night we are going to the Make-A-Wish Ball. Then we are staying in a 5 star hotel. It will be so nice.
